Ruling · 900.32
Lucid and full Vitality
This rule is part of the Comprehensive Rules, where every cross-reference resolves in one page.
- Question
- Does a Shield keep a unit Lucid?
- Answer
- No. Lucid tests current Vitality against maximum Vitality.
- 900.32aLucid resolves only while Vitality equals maximum Vitality. A Shielded unit that has taken any Vitality damage is not Lucid.
- 900.32bConversely, a unit whose Shield absorbed the entire hit is still at full Vitality and remains Lucid.
- 900.32cLucid effects resolve after the ability's ordinary activation effects, so a self-heal earlier in the same activation can turn Lucid back on for them.
- 900.32dA card that doubles Power while Lucid applies the doubling to effective Power, and Blind's 50% reduction is applied afterwards — so a Blinded Lucid unit ends up near its undoubled Power, not below it.
